Sending Money with PayPal

  1. All you need to send money is the recipient’s email address or mobile number.
  2. The recipient will get an email or text telling them their cash is ready.
  3. The recipient can log in or sign up for a PayPal account to withdraw money.

Reciving Money with PayPal

  1. After you send money, PayPal sends an email to the recipient letting them know they have money, and gives instructions on what to do next.
  2. That person can either log in to PayPal (if they already have an account) or sign up for a new account. Signing up is free and only takes a few minutes.

After logging in to PayPal, they can either:

  • Spend the money online at thousands of stores that accept PayPal
  • Transfer it to their bank (takes 2-3 days)
  • Request a check (costs $1.50 and takes about 7 days)

If the person receiving the money has a PayPal Debit Card, they can use that card to access the money you sent.
